Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in the Legal industry, based in New York. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity where you'll be crucial in handling expense reports and communicating with external personnel, as well as other accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

• Review and process approximately 300 expense reports within a week, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

• Communicate effectively with external personnel to ensure smooth operations.

• Check preloaded approvals for date, vendor, coding, and billability.

• Handle the task of reimbursing receipts meticulously.

• Maintain weekly accounts payable to keep our financial records updated.

• Conduct thorough reviews of expense reports for each employee.

• Utilize skills in Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP) to ensure all financial processes are handled with accuracy.

• Regularly monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions as needed. Requirements • Must possess a strong understanding and practical application of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and systems is a necessity

• Ability to manage Expense Reports effectively and efficiently

• Experience with Weekly Account Payable tasks and responsibilities

• Proficiency in the use of accounting software and other related computer programs

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred

• Practical experience in the Legal industry is advantageous

• High level of integrity and reliability

• Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate analyses.
