Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in New York, New York

Description We are on the lookout for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team based in New York. The role involves handling vendor invoices and other payables for the company. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments to ensure timely and accurate payments. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the processing of vendor payments with precision, ensuring compliance with company policies

• Review each invoice meticulously to ensure it's correctly categorized under the appropriate expense coding and cost center

• Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all payable transactions

• Manage and update vendor bank information within the company's banking system

• Monitor the status of the invoice approval process, ensuring invoices are forwarded to the accounting department in a timely manner

• Undertake other accounting and administrative tasks as required

• Utilize various accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for efficient invoice processing

• Use Microsoft Excel and Excel Formulas for data entry and account reconciliation

• Handle bank reconciliations and check runs

• Resolve any inquiries or issues related to accounts payable

• Manage coding invoices and accounts payable (AP). Requirements • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

• Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Excel Formulas

• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Oracle, and SAP

• Knowledge and experience in account reconciliation and bank reconciliations

• Ability to handle tasks such as check runs, coding invoices, and data entry

• Proficiency in invoice processing

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Adherence to confidentiality and data protection protocols.
