Account Manager/ Residential & C&I Programs

New York, New York - Remote

To support our growth, we seek a Residential & C&I Account Manager to work in our Energy Efficiency division in New York. In this role you will serve as liaison between the ICF managed energy efficiency program and program contractors, developers, trade organizations, distributors, manufacturers, and client representatives. You will have office and field responsibilities; some overnight travel will be required. Public speaking, training, and field support will be required.

You should be collaborative in nature as you will be expected to support the existing Con Edison and Orange & Rockland ICF team.

What you will be doing:

  • Distributor and vendor account management including those specific to commercial and residential lighting

  • Distributor outreach and recruitment, including developing and implementing program sales strategies, relationship building activities, and technical assistance and guidance on energy efficient technologies and practices to those participating in utility-sponsored programs

  • Working as part of a team to ensure that the implementation and verification of residential & C&I energy efficiency projects are successfully executed in the New York market. Preparing and delivering persuasive presentations and providing program representation with distributors and retailers, etc.

  • Field mentoring and QA/QC of residential and commercial focused energy efficiency work performed

  • Must have a reliable vehicle for travel. Requirements are up to 50% of the time in New York and New Jersey (service area is Orange and Rockland counties) for meetings, trainings and inspections (reimbursement for mileage provided)

What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Building Sciences, Business, Marketing, Communications, Energy Efficiency, Engineering or related discipline (applicants can substitute one year of related experience for one year of education)

  • 2+ years of experience in energy efficiency, customer engagement, sales, outreach and/or related fields

  • Must have valid driver’s license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check

What we would like you to have (preferred qualifications):

  • Knowledge of energy efficient building practices and technologies

  • Strong working knowledge of successful business practices/strategies

  • Familiarity with building principles, energy audits, and energy savings calculations

  • Knowledge of residential energy modeling

  • BPI Building Analyst Certification or RESNET HERS Rater Certification

  • Experience working on successful energy efficiency programs

  • Utility experience and understanding of Demand Side Management (DSM) program implementation

  • Experience using Microsoft PowerBi or other data visualization tools

  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$59,469.00 - $101,098.00
