Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Performance Account Director to lead the strategic creative development and execution of one of our telecommunications client accounts.
This role will be the primary performance driver—responsible for maximizing ROI across digital channels—while also bringing a systems-thinking lens to how we approach client challenges and orchestrate cross-functional solutions. A deep understanding of the telecommunications landscape and client-specific business objectives is crucial.
You will lead a dedicated team, and manage a cross functional team and integrate with other capabilities to deliver impactful performance creative. Also, act as the key strategic liaison between the agency team (project management, media, creative) and our telecom clients (internal agency, media and marketing clients) across your projects.
Responsibilities
Account Leadership and Systems Thinking:
Serve as the primary strategic lead for assigned telecommunications client, ensuring alignment with their overall marketing goals.
Develop and present comprehensive performance marketing strategies tailored to client's specific needs and target audiences.
Maintain a deep understanding of each client's product offerings, service areas, and competitive landscape.
Creative Performance Optimization & ROI Maximization:
Oversee the performance of the client business, with a focus on developing creative that will maximize ROI across various digital platforms (Google Ads, Social Media Ads, etc.).
Conduct in-depth analysis of campaign data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for optimization.
Implement advanced A/B testing and experimentation strategies to improve campaign performance.
Work with media and project management to align creative needs to advertising budgets, ensuring efficient allocation and maximum impact.
Telecommunications Industry Expertise:
Develop a strong understanding of the telecommunications industry, including broadband, mobile, and related services.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitive offerings, and regulatory changes.
Translate technical product information into compelling advertising messages.
Client Relationship Management & Reporting:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at the client, acting as a trusted advisor.
Work with analytics to provide regular performance reports, strategic recommendations, and proactive insights to clients.
Conduct quarterly business reviews to assess campaign performance and identify areas for improvement.
Be an effective dot-connector when it comes to managing the client organization
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead and mentor dedicated account team members
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team
Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance team members' skills and knowledge.
Regional/Local Market Focus:
Understand the nuances of clients’ regional/local service areas and implement geo-targeted advertising strategies.
Assist in the creation of localized advertising campaigns.
Qualifications
8–10 years of agency (or related) experience required, driving multiple streams of work concurrently while meeting deadlines and maintaining proper documentation.
At least 3 years of recent experience in performance marketing with measurable success optimizing digital channels.
Telco experience preferred, given the complexity and competitive nature of the telecommunications space.
Ability to clearly articulate desired outcomes and ensure project objectives are met, merchandising past successes to build credibility.
Track record of translating data-informed insights into actionable strategies—connecting analytics, strategy, creative, and media toward positive outcomes.
Proven ability to develop insightful strategies and efficiently execute tactical plans in a rapidly evolving marketplace.

Compensation Range: $140,000 - $150,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
