We are looking to fill the newly created position of Senior Counsel for Data Privacy and Artificial Intelligence. The position will report to the U.S. Chief Regulatory Counsel and work collaboratively with the U.S. and Global Data Privacy Officer and the global data privacy team.

This role will be remote, with work-from-home flexibility with the expectation of working within the Eastern Time Zone during regular business hours.

You’ll make a difference by assisting our global team in:

  • Developing and implementing privacy and AI policies, procedures, and best practices to comply with applicable laws and regulations.

  • Monitoring changes in privacy and AI-related laws, regulations, and business practices to ensure continuing compliance.

  • Proactively counsel various business stakeholders on data privacy and AI trends.

  • Conducting privacy legal reviews for new and evolving products, services, apps, and market expansions.

  • Assessing legal risks associated with data collection, processing, and AI deployment.

  • Providing expertise in technology-related matters, such as digital marketing, analytics, and cookie governance, to inform and guide privacy and AI-related decisions and strategies.

  • Assessing data privacy risks associated with B2C business operations and develop strategies and processes to mitigate risk.

  • Drafting privacy notices and polices for websites, e-commerce sites, online marketplaces, products, apps, and services.

  • Assisting with the processing of Data Subject Requests.

  • Evaluating notification requirements and support responses to data breaches.

  • Staying abreast of developments in AI law, including ethical considerations, bias mitigation, and regulatory requirements.

  • Reviewing and negotiate contracts related to data privacy, AI, and technology partnerships.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data privacy and AI policies.

  • Providing training on data privacy best practices and AI legal implications.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate from a U.S. accredited institution

  • Licensed to practice law in one or more states

  • Combined 8+ years of legal experience in a law firm or a corporate in-house position with a focus on data privacy.

  • Active bar membership in one or more jurisdictions.

  • Proficiency in both verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future.

  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.

  • The ability to work independently and make informed legal decisions.

  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

The pay range for this position is $133,000-$269,200. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
