Google Software Engineer, Google Home Camera in New Taipei City, Taiwan

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures or algorithms.

  • 2 years of experience with machine learning algorithms and tools (e.g., TensorFlow), artificial intelligence, deep learning or natural language processing.

  • Experience with Large Language Models, NLP, or Generative AI.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.

  • Experience in C or C++ programming.

  • Passion for IoT camera and smart home technologies.

  • Design and develop the camera software stack for next-generation Google Home camera and doorbell devices globally.

  • Contribute to camera stack design, maintain code quality and scalability, and implement best practices across the video driver, networking, media streaming, and userspace services.

  • Track project progress, manage risks, and communicate updates to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with software milestones. Own development and shipment responsibilities.

  • Manage the complete software cycle from design to launch, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Contribute to enhancing the Google Home Camera user experience to strengthen product strategy.
