What you will do
As a Senior Category Manager, you will lead category strategy and execution within the Business Unit, driving growth and innovation across the ANZ region. You will develop strategic insights based on category trends, collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement growth plans, and oversee new product introductions. Your role will involve analyzing category performance, managing category reviews, and ensuring effective communication with sales and marketing teams. Youll play a crucial role in driving category excellence and supporting the overall business strategy.
Growth Planning & Innovation
Utilises Category trends & category growth drivers to develop strategic category insights to inform category growth initiatives
Partners with CBI on Shopper Insight knowledge agenda understanding shopper behavior, shopper missions, shopper decision making
Growth Planning: partner with Marketing to input into holistic growth plans & partner key account teams and field leaders to translate into growth plans into tailored account plans and 12-month rolling activation calendar
Innovation: Partner with Brand to prepare the GTM plans for NPI including preparing all sales briefs, NLFs, key sell in decks, activation plans and is responsible for NPI trackers and lead action plan if required
Communication: Identifies and feeds category shopper insights into integrated marketing briefs to deliver strong E2E campaigns. Partners with marketing team to brief key activation to instore excellence and sales teams
Strategic Category Excellence
Category Analytics: Provides insight into category & competitor performance and drivers to inform decision making. Work collaboratively with the Business Intelligence team and marketing on development and execution of BU RGM program
IBP represent category in IBP meetings, communicate category performance drivers in DCM and define risks and opportunities
Category management & execution: category strategy development including range, must stock list, planogram, pricing, promotional strategy and NPI NLF including cannibalisation and incrementally assumptions by account.
Category Strategy Days and Review process: key contributor to the category review process including cross functional team brief, analysis to set range review objectives, builds category narrative and fact-based recommendation for three-way win
Partners with Sales Strategy and Account teams in customer engagements by providing category growth and performance drivers; supports NAM in customer engagements; shares category insights across accounts, ensures compliance against promotional guidelines and partners to deliver identified growth initiatives.

Qualifications
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
5 years of FMCG experience in category/sales/ trade marketing
Strong communication skills for internal and external stakeholder engagement
Ability to work independently with high day-to-day autonomy and minimal supervision
Desired Qualifications
Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions
Knowledge of industry trends and competitor activities
