We are hiring Video Analysts with a passion for short-form video, user-generated content (UGC), and internet culture.

What you will do:

Storyful’s newsroom has been working at the intersection of social media, news and technology to help media organizations tell the stories that matter most. As we expand the breadth and depth of our coverage, we are seeking a Video Analyst to join our team in New Delhi. As a Video Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and evaluating content that aligns with our business goals and ethos. Your expertise in trends, pop culture, and video-sharing platforms will help us navigate the ever-evolving Internet landscape.

Role Overview: As a Video Analyst, you will be essential in identifying and evaluating videos with viral potential. Your keen eye for engaging content will help us meet our creative and business objectives in the ever-changing landscape of the internet

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor various video platforms to discover and submit relevant content that aligns with our strategy

  • Watch online videos to assess their viral potential and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment

  • Search for unique and innovative videos that fulfill both business and creative requirements

  • Evaluate and curate user-generated videos for internal presentations and pitches.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in journalism/communication/media studies or allied fields preferred

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in video analysis or a related field, with a strong instinct for recognizing compelling content

  • Excellent time management skills and a detail-oriented approach, ensuring thorough evaluations

  • Familiarity with emerging trends in video and internet culture, with experience across multiple video-sharing platforms

  • Ability to work under pressure and analyze videos for extended periods

  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays, to keep up with the fast-paced nature of digital content

  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey insights and recommendations to the team.

Preferred Skills & Knowledge

  • Proficiency in Jira, Trello and awareness of any content management systems

  • Strong communication skills in English - written and spoken

  • Video editing skills are a plus
