Hyatt Team Leader- Engineering in NEW DELHI, India

Description:

Customer Service

· Provides a courteous and professional service at all times.

· Handles guest and employee enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, reporting complaints or problems if no immediate solution can be found, whilst providing a prompt follow-up.

· Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.

Operational

· Maintains Engineering store and controls the issues and consumption to ensure the required stock levels are available.

· Maintains a familiarity of all spare parts to ensure they are neatly stacked in an orderly manner.

· Prepares purchase request and follows up with Materials Department to ensure timely receipt of materials ordered.

· Prepare work order as per standard format based on three quotation comparison

· Keeps accurate records of all materials transactions, through the computerized control system.

· Receives all materials ordered and ensures proper disbursement and/or storage.

· Conducts inventory on a monthly basis with timely reports submit to the accounting department.

· Ensures standardization of materials in inventory by disallowing substitution.

· Communicates with Engineering Manager to establish par stock and re-order point levels for all consumable items.

· Establishes trends on commonly used items.

· Maintains the storeroom in a clean and orderly fashion at all times.

· Executes Preventive Maintenance plan at guest floor according to schedules.

· Coordinate and organize arrival room check base on checklist.

· Ensures effective service recovery pertaining to guests’ feedback.

· Keep Engineering Manager apprised of stock problems to ensure timely response affecting repairs.

· Works closely with other employees in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests.

· Works in a supportive and flexible manner with other departments, in a spirit of “We work through Teams”.

Personnel

· Supports the implementation of The People Philosophy, demonstrating and reinforcing Hyatt’s Values and Culture Characteristics.

Other Duties

· Attends and contributes to all training sessions and meetings as required.

· Exercises responsible behavior at all times and positively representing the hotel team and Hyatt International.

· Maintains strong, professional relationship with the relevant representatives from competitor hotels, business partners and other organizations.

· Reads the hotel's Employee Handbook and have an understanding of and adhere to the hotel's rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to computer resources, fire, hygiene, health and safety.

· Ensures high standards of personal presentation and grooming.

· Responds to changes in the Engineering function as dictated by the industry, company and hotel.

· Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Minimum 2 years of experience in similar position.

· Ideally with a relevant degree or diploma in Hospitality or Tourism management.

· Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills.
