You, NA CP&M Technical Sales Regional Manager, are responsible for the sale of X-Rite’s Industrial consumer product and service solutions in Northeast & Central Midwes t as well as developing plans to drive growth for new expansion opportunities in a variety of segments including plastics, coatings, textile, and automotive industries.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Lead a team of independent sales representatives and direct sales team members for assigned territories and provide the proper support to ensure each person meets or exceeds their revenue targets.

  • Identify and call on prospective customers, provide technical expertise, product information and demonstrations, and submit proposals. Develop strategies for acquiring new accounts and expand existing accounts within a specific industry or product segment.

  • Identify and interpret customer needs and answer questions to assist in the selection, application, and operation to provide the best solution of color measurement.

  • Create and implement tactical plans consistent with achieving a sustainable sales growth year over year, by providing solid market intelligence, forecasting future customer buying activity and industry trends.

  • Regularly report and communicate to sales management: new customer sales forecasts, order activity, stages of negotiations, pricing levels and competitive information.

  • Work closely with Sales Management, Marketing Management and Product Management to identify specific account penetration plans and plan periodic promotional programs and presentations to expand customer awareness and continued customer acceptance of X-Rite products and services.

  • Attend and support X-Rite national and regional industry trade shows

  • The expected travel requirement is less than 40% of the time.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Willingness to travel up to 2 weeks per month (nights away from home)

  • MBA, BS or BA degree in business, electrical, mechanical or color science with two to five years sales of related technical sales.

  • Direct selling experience in a business-to-business environment (preferably in paints and plastics industry)

  • Experience with salesforce.com and other tools to update customer records and profiles as well as sales activities.

  • Based in the Northeast

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $125,000 - $135,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Incentive Pay.
