Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Research Project Assistant for the Psychology department within the School of Arts & Sciences. This position is for a Research Project Assistant working in Calvin Lai's lab.Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Oversees day-to-day lab operations including participant recruitment, designing, running, and analyzing experiments and other data-management activities.
  • Coordinates, trains, and proactively working with motivated undergraduate research assistants.
  • Maintains IRB protocols, budgeting and expenses for grants, website updates, and undergraduate award applications, assisting in planning lab. events and trainings and managing research-related social media platforms.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Cognitive Science, or a related field of social science, or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant research experience, and knowledge.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Prior experience in running behavioral studies.
  • Strong computer skills (e.g., aptitude with R, SPSS, Excel, Javascript).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with law enforcement or underserved communities is a plus but is not required.
