Professionals receiving a doctoral degree in psychology should be capable of extending psychological knowledge and exhibiting the high level of analytic skills and theoretical understanding needed to use existing and emerging psychological knowledge.
Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Assistant for the Graduate School of Applied Professional Psychology.Among the key duties of the position are the following:
  • Assists with ongoing and new research studies.
  • Conducts literature searches.
  • Assists with implementation of new protocols.
  • Monitors ongoing protocols.
  • Collects data.
  • Creates and maintains graphs.
  • Maintains records.
  • Helps with manuscript and grant proposal preparation.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills are needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience in an administrative function.
Certifications/Licenses
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literacy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis.
  • Board Certified in Behavior Analysis.
  • Experience conducting or overseeing research.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in software skills.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Graphpad Prism.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with study personnel.
