| Posting Summary | The Theater Department at Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University-New Brunswick invites applications for NTT Lecturer - Costume Technology for the 2024-25 academic year, beginning September 1, 2024. Responsibilities will include the following: Teach courses within the theater program commensurate with your expertise at all levels of undergraduate courses; advise undergraduate students on their artistic progression; maintain professional artistic activity and/or scholarly research in accordance with the needs of the department as determined by the chair. Responsibilities will also include the advising and supervision of student production assignments, independent studies, and internships. You will also be expected to: hold regular office hours; attend department and program meetings; participate and assist in recruiting efforts; maintain and develop curricula; participate in all undergraduate review cycles; support collaboration initiatives within Mason Gross and across the University; and other duties as assigned. | Overview | Housed in one of the leading public research universities on the East Coast, The Department of Theater at Mason Gross School of the Arts provides students with a well-rounded, rigorous, and inspiring program for those serious about pursuing a career as a theater professional. Our department includes approximately 175 undergraduate students and 4 graduate students with a total faculty of 50 (16 full-time) and production and administrative staff of 17. The Theater Department offers eight concentrations in the BFA programs of Acting, Design, Dramaturgy and Production, a BA in Theater Arts (major and minor), and an MFA in Playwriting. Mason Gross School of the Arts, a vibrant community of artists and scholars with academic programs in music, theater, dance, filmmaking, and art & design, is committed to pursuing excellence, innovation, and inclusivity.
