Contract Opportunity

Responsibilities:

• Develop protocols and methodologies for preparing media and cultivating cell cultures, ensuring safe and secure storage techniques.

• Formulate media recipes for cell culture fermentation and assess their viability in laboratory-scale settings to gauge cell culture growth potential.

• Lead fermentation development activities across laboratory and pilot scales, including designing and implementing experimental methodologies and operating fermenters.

• Design and execute experiments aligned with project objectives, maintaining meticulous records, conducting data analysis, and preparing comprehensive project summaries.

• Perform analytical measurements such as optical density, brix, total solids, color, particle size, viscosity, and density.

• Oversee technical development projects focused on fermentation, process optimization, and product enhancement to support innovation in food and beverage products.

• Manage development projects from conception to execution, coordinating multiple initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional teams within specified timelines.

• Communicate project requirements, recommendations, and status updates to internal stakeholders and external partners.

• Collaborate with discovery, innovation, manufacturing, and prototyping teams to ensure successful trial runs and startup operations.

• Adhere to safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at all times.

Requirements:

• Minimum of MS in Food Science or related degree with 5 years of experience, OR PHD with 1+ year

• Experience (academic or industry) in fermentation or microbiology.

• Extensive knowledge on understanding the fermentation media, cell culture, and operating fermenters.
