Job Overview:

RWJBH is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator for our Peri-op areas, which include Operating Room and Endoscopy at the New Brunswick campus.

Qualifications:

Required:

• BSN

• At least 5 years of experience with Peri-op in oncology surgical service line and Endoscopy.

• Strong communication and organizational skills to support procedural areas

• Proficient computer skills

Preferred:

• MSN preferred or actively pursuing

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• BLS and ACLS Certification

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License

Scheduling Requirements:

• Day Shift

• Monday Friday, some weekend commitment, flexible schedule required

• FT

Essential Functions:

• Plan and design orientation plan for orientees, develop and provide continuing education, provide in-service programs in accordance with the requirements of NJ Board of Nursing current regulatory guidelines the Code of Ethics and institutional guidelines

• Implement and evaluate educational activities/programs.

• Develop and maintain employee records.

• Serve as a resource person for education and promoted education in the Nursing Division.

• Responsible for maintaining competencies as required by regulatory agencies.

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and deliver education to ensure quality and best practice.
