Job#: 2063877 Job Description: Security Engineer Contract - 9+ months with potential for extension Hybrid in Minnesota - Must be local to MN This Security Engineer role is a member of the Security Architecture and Engineering team. This crucial security pillar focuses on the design, build and oversight of security controls, defining the global cybersecurity architecture and methodologies, & drive risk reduction across the enterprise to improve the cyber hygiene and maturity. This role will provide the opportunity to have a direct influence on the organization s global security strategy and roadmap as part of the global security team. Support the design, build, and oversight of security controls in network, infrastructure, Cloud, Data, applications, and Identity. Build, execute, and track the performance of security measures to protect information and network infrastructure and systems. Assist in defining security strategy and engineering cybersecurity & Zero Trust architecture methodology. Identify, define, and document system security requirements, controls, and recommend/implement solutions. Provide security consultation and guidance to the organization as appropriate. Drive the development of enterprise-wide solutions and systems to solve security challenges and improve upon current security standards and practices. Conduct security engineering activities such as configuring and maintaining security tools, testing new capabilities, support IT engineer counterparts, and identifying security gaps. Safeguard system security, train users, and promote cyber safety awareness. Mentoring, coaching, and developing other team members. Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: A minimum of eight to ten years of IT or Information Security experience, with at least five years of Security-related experience. Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Industry certifications preferred include CISSP, CCSP, CompTIA Security+, and/or SSCP. Proficient in MS Office; Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and Visio. Strong written and verbal communication skills (English). Flexibility to work occasionally outside business hours to support security incident response, project work, or maintenance window activities. Experience with monitoring and responding to security alerts and incidents. A technical understanding of IT networks, server administration, and IT applications. Proficient, and thorough understanding of computer-related security applications, systems, and tools. Excellent organizational skills and analytic, problem-solving skills. Impeccable confidentiality, attention to detail, and self-organization. Self-directed and motivated with a positive and willing attitude.
