Continental Shop Floor Trainer - Days in New Braunfels, Texas

Join the New Braunfels, TX team for the exciting journey of a new facility start-up (Greenfield). The $110 million facility will manufacture Advanced Driver Assistance Systems for automated and assisted driving.

As a Shop Floor Trainer you will be responsible for:

  • Create, manage, & conduct internal job­ related skills training programs for business initiatives, including new hire orientation/onboarding & safety.

  • Responsible for maintaining training programs to ensure content is fully documented in a program outline, and updated to assure programs remain relevant to the business needs.

  • Evaluate and follow-up with trainees to measure learning progress, provide trainee feedback, and evaluate overall effectiveness of training programs, methods, & techniques.

  • Maintain equipment, tools, & materials pertaining to programs.

  • Maintain training records in multiple databases and spreadsheets for all shop floor training.

  • File paperwork generated by classes and shop floor/evaluations (tests), criteria sheets, and course evaluations.

  • Maintain a flexible schedule with regular rotation to nights to provide training to meet job and business needs.

  • Participates in shop floor technical audits with adjoining action planning to ensure employee alignment to plant objectives.

  • Advocate of Quality, 5S, and Environmental Safety and Health standards to ensure ongoing plant audit success.

Work Schedule

  • Four Days on Four Days Off

  • Days: 8:00am-6:30pm

Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write & speak English

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Experience managing a learning environment, trainees, and instructional workflow.

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment

  • Ability to improve inefficiencies in the production line/area

  • Ability to effectively communicates with team members and leadership through strong, clear, written and verbal communication skills; includes ability to speak in front of a group.

  • Excellent organization skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted. Must be able to stand for up to 10+ hours. Must be able to Push, Pull Reach, Twist, Turn, Stoop, Walk, Stand for up to 10+ hours

Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to support a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1+ years’ training experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience identifying training requirements.

  • Experience designing improvements to the work environment.

  • Experience utilizing continuous improvement measures.

  • Experience managing training records.
