Worksite Contractor

The Mediation Center of Eastern Carolina is seeking a dedicated contractor to support our Community Service/Restitution Program, primarily serving Craven County. We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in working with at-risk youth, who is professional, organized, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Key Requirements:

• Experience working with at-risk youth.
• Ability to work two Saturdays per month and weekday evenings from 4 pm to 7 pm.
• Capable of performing manual labor to demonstrate tasks required of youth on worksites.
• Enthusiasm for working with youth aged 6-17, with skills to supervise, mentor, and motivate.

Duties Include:

• Oversee worksites to ensure youth perform required tasks.
• Explain, demonstrate, and guide youth on how tasks should be completed.
• Help to ensure youth fulfill their assigned community service hours.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with professionals.
• Manage case files for youth served.
• Update documents/databases using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Maintain accurate records for each worksite, including attendance and hours completed by each youth.
• Supervise, instruct, and provide constructive feedback to youth at worksites.
• Collaborate effectively with program supervisor.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Associate Director and/or Program Coordinators.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 6 per week

Schedule:

• Evenings as needed
• Weekends as needed
