Overview: Livng Well Down East is a dynamic, fast-growing natural and organic market in downtown New Bern. Customers love our carefully curated selection of high quality supplements, groceries, and health and beauty products. Living Well is committed to serving our community and strives to make our store a relaxing and enjoyable place to shop. We are looking for a person to join our team who understands customer focus and is interested in healthy living. All team members share responsibilities and support each other in accomplishing various tasks, which include assisting customers, maintaining a clean and organized store, pricing and inventory of merchandise, receiving orders, and operating a Point of Service (cash register).

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers, provide them with a current sales sheet, and assist them finding products
• Manage the POS (cash register)
• Help receive products and ensure accuracy of inventory
• Perform stocking duties such as lifting, rotating products, blocking and dusting
• Clean and maintain the store
• Help create signs and tags for products, either digitally or free hand
• Receive and process special orders for customers
• Answer the phone and take messages as needed
• Rotate stock based on expiration dates
• Create displays and host special events
• Contribute to social media

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 18 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent
• Flexible work schedule with ability to work weekends
• Interest in, or knowledge of, a healthy lifestyle
• Courteous with a desire to help others
• Organizational skills
• Ability to independently manage time and responsibilities
• Computer skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office
• Social Media expertise
• Retail Experience
