Inbound Warehouse Process Manager
What you will do

In this role, you will be part of the Supply Chain team and report to the Senior Manager, Supply Chain over all Warehouse operations, and you will participate in multiple cross-functional initiatives for Amgen Ohio (AOH) leading to the improvement of the overall planning process applying enterprise-wide programs. In addition, you will organize, drive, and/or support the identification and implementation of related Warehouse systems and processes. The Manager, Inbound Warehouse Process will be the systems and process expert for Amgen’s Warehouse systems and sub-systems. As the expert you will develop and provide necessary education and training to all impacted departments. This role is also responsible for identifying, establishing, modeling, and monitoring key performance measures that will ensure the achievement of Best Practices across Amgen sites. The Manager, Inbound Warehouse Process will serve as a key Planning representative on various cross-functional task forces and teams to ensure that consistent and well-integrated practices are developed throughout the organization. This role requires consistent and strong communication within Supply Chain and throughout all of Amgen and across all sites and may directly or indirectly supervise the activities of other staff members or outside consultants/contractors.
Responsibilities may include:
Ensure the timely execution of warehouse operations in full compliance with GMP/GDP and EHSS requirements
leverage strong knowledge of warehousing processes and with a drive for results
Manage and coach direct reports
Monitor and follow up on training status and training needs of staff- Deliver on the daily plan (outbound orders, inbound batches, process orders, cycle counts)
Ensure compliance with GMP/GDP and EH&S requirements- Act as backfill for the other Manager(s) Distribution Center
Own and/or provide input and support for quality system records (nonconformance, change control records, CAPA, SOPs) or other records (e.g. business continuity plan, user requirement specifications, risk assessments)
Assess impact of new requirements, changes, processes, regulations to the department
Act as warehouse representative in cross departmental projects
Act as a first point of contact for other departments (e.g. Production, Customer Service, QA, Planning)
Track performance on specific KPIs- Participate in network meetings
Act as delegate for the Senior Manager Supply Chain
Measure and report on Key Supply Chain Key Performance measures and drive continuous improvement bringing to bear Amgen standard tools and methods
Ensure maximum use of Supply Chain systems, ensure master data and transactional data accuracy for planning systems and drive data driven decision making
Develop solutions to departmental and cross-functional business problems through in-depth analysis, coordination, and negotiation with key decision makers.
Manage sophisticated and ambiguous issues to identify critical factors to enable decision making.
Respond effectively to crises and resolve conflicts arising from competing objectives, limited resources, or differing perspectives.
Contribute to strategic decisions affecting operations.
Build diverse, impactful teams and create an inclusive environment which brings together different cultures, ideas, and experiences.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree
OR
Master’s degree and 2 years of Supply Chain experience
Or
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of Supply Chain experience
Or
Associate’s degree and 8 years of Supply Chain experience
Or
High school diploma / GED and 10 years of Supply Chain experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Business Administration, Supply Chain & Logistics Management, Material Management and/or Industrial Engineering educational background.
Good understanding of ERP-SAP, ECC, WM, EWM
APICS CPIM, CSCP or SCOR-P certified.
5+ years of Supply Chain Management.
Operational Excellence experience in regulated industry
Experience with regulated environments (i.e. cGMP, GDP OSHA).
Proficient user of software applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Smart sheet, Skype, Tableau).
Leadership and team building skills.
Organisational change skills and understanding of role of sponsor.
Good organizational and communications skills
Continuous improvement mentality.
Experience working in a global environment, ability to collaborate effectively at different management levels.
Availability for international business trips and to support non-standard shift organization with the flexibility to work extended hours.
Knowledge of staff relations with the ability to coach, mentor and counsel staff when needed.
Knowledge of basic compensation system practices and methodologies.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
