Description

Robert Half Management Resources is currently looking for an interim Manufacturing Plant Controller to support a client in New Albany, OH. The interim plant controller will handle all finance and accounting responsibilities to include: month-end close, quarter/year-end close, financial reporting, budgeting/forecasting, and some cost accounting. The interim controller is expected to be needed through January 2025 at the earliest. The client utilizes SAP for financial reporting; familiarity with SAP is desired. The work will be performed mostly from the client's facility in New Albany.

Responsibilities:

• Take charge of financial reporting for the plant, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all reports

• Conduct regular internal and external audit support to ensure compliance with established standards

• Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial data is accurate and complete

• Develop and manage plant budgets and forecasts, providing regular updates to senior management

• Handle some light Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A) and Corporate reporting responsibilities, informing strategic decision-making

• Utilize SAP for various Controllership tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of the plant's financial systems

• Ensure the continuity of the plant's Controllership and Manufacturing operations, stepping in where necessary to ensure all tasks are completed

• Participate in the training of other team members on cost accounting principles and practices as needed

• Monitor and take appropriate action on customer accounts to ensure the financial health of the organization.

Requirements

-10+ years of accounting/finance experience

-Experience at the plant controller level or above

-Proficient with month-end close within the Manufacturing industry (inventory, cost accounting, WIP, etc)

-Prior experience working in SAP

-Strong MS Excel skills

-Strong teaming and communications skills
