APPROXIMATE ANNUAL SALARY - $70,282.08 to $104,713.20 PAY GRADE: 37

The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

The Position

Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.

The Office of Cyber Defense and Coordination (OCDC) within the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) announces an opportunity to join an organization at the center of cybersecurity and cyber threat intelligence sharing with public and private partners in the State of Nevada. The Management Analyst 3 position works closely with the OCDC Administrator to analyze security events and incidents to determine scope and impact along with staying up to date on the latest cybersecurity threats and trends. This position will work with partner organizations on cyber threat assessments, potential impact to organizations, and incident response plans. Additionally, this position will be responsible for maintaining and updating security documentation and procedures, generating and presenting security reports to management and stakeholders, and assisting in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures. To Qualify:

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and three years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and three years of professional experience which included budgeting, accounting, and/or economic or management analysis and projections; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and five years of professional experience as described above; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

Special Requirements

This position requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. This position requires a State of Nevada/FBI fingerprint-based background check as a condition of appointment and as condition of continuing employment.
