The Position
Grounds Maintenance Workers perform landscape, garden and greenhouse duties such as planting, pruning, mowing, trimming, watering, fertilizing, weeding and snow and ice prevention and removal; and operate hand and power tools, power mowers, tractor mowers, trenching devices, forklifts and hoists.-

Please refer to the link for more information: https://gov.nv.gov/Newsroom/ExecOrders/Executive-Orders/ Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
Under general supervision, incumbent assists in a specialized phase of grounds service, answerable to a Grounds Supervisor or Facility Supervisor at all Nevada National Guard Military Bases. The incumbent will plan and schedule routine activities and oversees team members, including work assignments, work reviews, and training, and performs technical work on facility irrigation systems; schedule irrigation according to city, State, and military regulations, events, seasonal demands, and adverse weather conditions. In addition, incumbent performs preventive maintenance and makes repairs by maintaining and cleaning wells and storage tanks, and repairing controllers, valves lines, sprinklers, and backflow preventers. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Two years of experience performing grounds maintenance work using a variety of tools and techniques; OR one year of experience as a Grounds Maintenance Worker III in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.Special Notes
Incumbents may be required to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays in addition to their normal work schedules.Special Requirements
A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant. This position may require work on evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment.The Examination
