The Position
Administrative Services Officers function as business managers for a large division or major program area or facility, with responsibility for accounting, budgeting and business management of various services and operations.
The Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs is recruiting to fill an Administrative Services Officer 2 position within the Museum and History Division in Carson City. The incumbent manages the day-to-day fiscal and administrative duties for the Division office and its seven museums (13 budgets): formulates, develops, and monitors museum budgets and prepares written justification for budget proposals; monitors budgets to analyze and resolve fiscal management issues; manages personnel and payroll functions such as advising management and supervisors on regulations and procedures for hiring, work performance standards, training, discipline, and other related issues; manages administrative support functions and ensures an appropriate level of customer service is provided to internal and external customers; and maintains a central clearinghouse of museum contracts and agreements.

To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, accounting, finance or related field and four years of professional experience including two years of responsibility for major business operations/functions such as grants administration, contract and lease administration, purchasing and warehouse operations, human resources, Information Technology or facilities maintenance and construction; and two years of experience formulating, developing and analyzing program or agency budgets; and fiscal management; one year of which was equivalent to an Administrative Services Officer I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.Special Requirements
Requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment.The Examination
