DUAL REPORT
Job Purpose
Actively manage and drive the product strategy & product development(s) for the respective product line, aligning new products with Global Product Line strategy to customer requirements and market needs, and ensuring integration into and maintenance and rationalization of the existing product portfolio.
Roles & Responsibilities
SAFETY, SECURITY & COMPLIANCE
· Demonstrate effective safety leadership for the health and safety arrangements of all subordinates and for any persons visiting them while on the Company premises
· Maintains the highest standards of corporate governance, ensuring that all activities are carried out ethically and in compliance with Company’s Security, Compliance & HSE policies, Management System, relevant laws, regulations, standards, and industry practices and complies with the Company’s Rules to Live By

QUALITY
· Active participation in the investigation and closure of all PC-1 & PC-2 issues related to your product line assuring that these are closed out in a timely manner and that they are reported to line management through the Weatherford process and policy
· Responsible for being familiar with the Company's Quality policies and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of Weatherford’s Management System
· Maintains service quality as immediate priorities when working across all areas of the business and continually seeks areas for improvement
OPERATIONS
· Oversees product line group operations to ensure service safety, quality, and efficiency, and cost-effective management of resources as per objectives
· Provides technical and operational support to our teams that are located in the operating countries on an as-needed basis utilizing the WISE platform as the conduit for this support
· Manages global technical product development, estimates of potential profits, and commercialization of new products and services
· Conducts market research to develop and maintain the PL marketing strategy in order to maximize our market share/new penetration in this market to improve operating income
· Works with peers in the global team to coordinate the introduction of new technologies, taking ownership of the implementation of procedures, competency and training that are relevant
· Forges excellent working relationships with area/country operations teams. Ensures that lessons learned are shared across the geozones
· Supports all Commercial and Technical Tender and BSA preparations
· Initiates and supports the development of strategic partners, suppliers, and technology that support the product line strategy
COMMUNICATION
· Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external
· Clearly communicates expectations, roles and responsibilities to their reports
· Engage external customers to position products and technologies for application into their assets
· Understand and improve where necessary the perception of this product line, identify potential new products required by the market and establish relationships for future success
· Actively provides Weatherford product line-related presentations at industry events/forums/conferences
FINANCIAL
· Responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of operational and budgetary objectives
· Provides financial and technical justification for product selection/justification and definition
· Reviews with line management capital & inventory requests
· All employees have an accountability to the organisation to be financially responsible whether they are in charge of a function budget or simply their own expenses
· Costs incurred should be within approved budget, processed within agreed time frames & following the relevant financial policy and procedure
PEOPLE & DEVELOPMENT
· Actively engage with employees to support talent management through Weatherford’s performance management process, actively contributes to the development & delivery of key technical product line training courses programs to support personnel competency & business growth
· Ensures that operational personnel meet product line competency standards and are in the correct positions for their skill sets
· Responsible for effective staff leadership, and performance management by setting objectives and driving appraisals and communication
· Employees have a responsibility for developing their own careers within the Company including completing all necessary function, compliance & business standards training to enhance their knowledge, skills and experience

· Participates in global product strategy, research and development requirements, development requirements, development priority, analysis of market research, and manufacturing coordination for new and emerging products
· Maintains effective global product line organizational structure and skill base to meet the needs of the product line grouping in the short and longer-term
· Evaluates and plans for future market conditions and align the strategy to take advantage of any changes or opportunities
· Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, operations, engineering, marketing, manufacturing, and operations to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities
· Demonstrates leadership, ethical behaviour and adherence to Weatherford standards at all times
Experience & Education
REQUIRED
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Scientific discipline or equivalent experience
· Proven track record in the development and/or application of new technology
· Proven track record in international operations and deep-water developments
· Extensive experience in a technical, product line, design, applications, or operations role
· Proven track record in managing international operations of the product line
PREFERRED
· Master's Degree (MBA)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
REQUIRED
· Must possess a comprehensive working knowledge of the product line and products and an excellent understanding of the product line applications/operations
· Broad and strong technical aptitude regarding oilfield products and services with an emphasis on the particular product line
· Must possess excellent analytical skills to enable product/process evaluation, with a proven ability to facilitate and deliver product/process improvement
· Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Ability to develop financial plans and manage resources. Ability to analyze and interpret financial data. Ability to prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
· Proven technical problem-solving ability
· General understanding of the global oil industry & awareness of the key operators/technology users.
· Must be self-motivated and an effective team manager
· Must have good communication/interpersonal skills, both verbal & written
· Must have good presentation skills to convey product line information, both internally and externally
· Must have good organizational skills & an ability to work to tight & sometimes challenging deadlines
· Must be able to make decisions and be able to identify & implement appropriate improvements
· Possess an enthusiasm for challenging established practices
· Good computer literacy & working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
· Willing to travel internationally as required
PREFERRED
· Product management experience in an oilfield service company
· Commercial experience as a provider of and/or as a customer for oilfield products & services.
· International experience
