JOB REQUIREMENTS: Finishing Operator - R4983 The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties, however, it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned. * Demonstrates commitment to safety and performs job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures. * Demonstrates commitment to quality and performs job duties in adherence to GMP guidelines. * Should be aware of their responsibilities and their accountability is clearly defined for key staff involved with product safety, legality, and quality systems. * Understand job ticket information to determine quantity, special work instructions, and any other special customer requirements. * Determine the best manufacturing method to produce product efficiently and effectively. * Set-up equipment in a timely manner. * Maintain high efficiency according to established rates during operation of the assigned equipment. * Perform feed and/or delivery tasks on various pieces of Finishing equipment. * Troubleshoot and make decisions regarding the quality of finished product. * Complete required quality inspections and paperwork. * Work with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance. * Play an active role in the maintenance and cleanliness of the assigned press and surrounding area. * Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements. * Actively participates in Lean manufacturing initiatives. * Performs other duties as assigned by management.
