NATIONAL ARBOR DAY FOUNDATION Maintenance Manager in Nebraska City, Nebraska

We help others understand and use trees as a solution to global issues (like air quality, water quality, climate change, deforestation, poverty, and hunger) that are critical to survival.

Arbor Day Farm is the 260-acre property owned and operated by the Arbor Day Foundation where our mission comes to life.

We need a Maintenance Manager to oversee projects and lead the team to success!

You Have:

  • Experience. At least three years of hands-on maintenance experience in a variety of areas.
  • Leadership abilities.You have supervised teams through good communication, organization, and intrapersonal skills.
  • Knowledge. Safety and best practice knowledge is something you pride yourself on.
  • Strong abilities. When it comes to problem solving and making quick decisions.
  • Growth mindset.You are always wanting to learn and be in the know with up and coming processes for improvement.
  • Attention to detail.You will need to pay attention to every detail to ensure accuracy.
  • Passion.For the Foundations mission and the impact, we make around the world through the work we do.
  • Skills.Steam related skills and preferably 1-2 years rough and finished carpentry.

You Will:

  • Delegate. Learn and know the teams strengths and weaknesses, to be able to delegate and assign work orders while ensuring any support is offered and that each project is completed successfully.
  • Respond.Timely responses to work orders or maintenance needs across property.
  • Assist.In sourcing and communication with contractors, keeping an up-to-date inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Inspect.Conduct regular inspections, updating logs in various areas of the property to ensure compliance and standards are met.
  • Train.Using your skills and knowledge of the property you will train other team members within the maintenance department and ensure that there are learning and development opportunities for the team.
  • Execute.Oversee the planning and execution of hotel renovations.
  • Schedule.You will be handling the scheduling for the maintenance team and fielding any call outs, working to find coverage for all three shifts and may need to cover shifts if no one is available.
