Responsibilities

Weatherford’s Production business is seeking a Software Engineer (Graduate Engineer) who is passionate about his work and can apply his skills to solve problems for our customers and to support blazor (thin client) development needs of existing products as well as to design and develop new products (code in C#) required for the continued growth of organization.

  • Develop specifications and project plan specification, for new product thin client development and/or enhancements to existing products.

  • Design new thin client to meet specifications and meet company maintainability and testability goals.

  • Create new thin client to implement new designs and/or provide enhanced functionality to existing products.

  • Analyze thin client performance and conformance to design specifications and adjust the design as required.

  • Produce documentation to facilitate production and maintenance of new thin client web interface.

  • Draft information to assist in the production of documentation for new and/or revised products.

  • Assist field personnel and customers in the use of new products and features.

  • Analyze field problem reports and plan remedial action to remedy them as required.

  • Perform various other duties assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.  

  • Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality System Manual, Operating and technical Procedures, and Workplace instructions.

  • Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.

  • Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.

Qualifications

Required:

  • BS degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related technical field.

  • C# experience with programming in embedded software applications.

  • Understanding of HTTP based communications and modern API design, Web Applications, RESTful services.

  • Programming experience in C#, .Net, CSS, HTML

  • Good communication skills, verbal and written.

  • Willingness to work independently or in a team environment.

  • Ability to translate requirements into a solid design and implementation.

  • Understanding of software engineering design principles and analysis algorithms with the ability to translate design and analysis into code.

  • Some problem-solving skills.

    Preferred:

  • MS degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related technical field.

  • 1-2 Years professional software development experience in C#.
