United States Fleet Forces Command PLANNER AND ESTIMATOR in Naval Business Center, Pennsylvania

Summary You will serve as a Planner and Estimator in the Procurement Branch (1410.2), Business Operations Division (1410), Naval Foundry and Propeller Center (NFPC) (1400) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will issue instructions for all work on projects and initiate procurement of materials to accomplish tasks within the scheduled time. You will collaborate with officials outside of the organization and serve as representative of the department. You will be required to formulate new methods and procedures for first-time projects at the work site. You will utilize in depth knowledge of various fixtures, mold designs, propulsor components, propulsor assemblies and any ancillary equipment. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO PROVIDE PRODUCTION SUPPORT SERVICE Reviewing technical work documents, such as ESRs (Engineering Service Requests) and PCIs (Propeller Center Instructions); Initiating Job Order Production, coordinating documents including job orders, Key Operations (KEOPS), job titles, projected man-hours, material costs, shop store costs, Trade Skills Designator, KEOP titles, and Technical Work Document references (ESR's, PCI's, etc.); Performing market research of requested goods and/or services to determine the proper procurement path through mandatory source listings; Working in conjunction with financial and fund administrator personnel in requesting and assigning properly designated job orders to respective purchases; Utilizing NNSYs material database, Material Access Technology (MAT) to log entries with pre-designated Julian date document numbers.
