Summary You will serve as a INSTRUMENT MECHANIC HELPER in the in the Maintenance Branch (Code 1440.3), Production Division (Code 1440) in the Naval Foundry and Propeller Center (NFPC) (Code 1400) in Philadelphia, PA, a detachment of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will assist Mechanical Instrument Calibrator in the operation of a precision tool issue and pre-check function. You will manually inventory count of stock on hand and daily inventory for stock adjustment. You will assist in documenting, recording, and filing the numerous reports and instructions that support he Measure and ATCS Systems. You will assist Toolmakers and Instrument Mechanics in the maintenance, repair, and calibration of precision hand tools, electronic RPM indicators, laser survey and alignment equipment, and various optical tooling. You will assist mechanic in the operation and use of standard precision measure machines associated equipment and hand tools. You will obtain and hand mechanic work tools while assisting in the inspection, repair and calibration.
