Military Sealift Command IT PROJECT MANAGER (SYSANALYSIS) in Naval Base, Virginia

Summary The selectee for this position will serve as an IT Project Manager (SYSANALYSIS) in the Command, Control, Communications, and Computer Systems (C4S) Directorate (N6) in the IT Program Management Office Division (N61) of Military Sealift Command (MSC). Responsibilities You will develop policy and procedures for review and approval. You will coordinate directly with end-users to ensure systems specifications and user requirements are in agreement. You will monitor project activities to ensure implementation per plan. You will monitor contracts to ensure proper interpretation and compliance by both contractor and government personnel. You will drive compliance with configuration management requirements to formally document and control the functional characteristics of Afloat NAVCOMMS Programs. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience executing information technology projects from initiation to sustainment to fulfill established requirements that meet specified missions. Experience planning, developing, and/or managing processes across the information systems/services life cycle to ensure Information Technology capabilities meet current and future organizational and enterprise missions. Experience developing or implementing strategy and plans for utilization, tracking and management of information resources (such as personnel, equipment, funds, and Information Technology) to enable organizational and enterprise missions. Experience managing the cost/budget information required to make sound investment decisions that support the organizational mission. Experience verifying and approving payment of invoices for IT purchases and monitoring all contracts for compliance with systems purchase and maintenance requirements.
