Responsibilities You will serve as an ADVANCE TOMAHAWK CRUISE MISSILE AND HYPERSONIC WEAPONS MISSION PLANNER in the MISSION PLANNING DIV N32, OPERATIONS DEPT N3, COMMAND GROUP-CMSA LANT N00, NORFOLK, VA. You will perform complex planning of advanced TLAM and HSW mission planning. You will plan the new variants of advanced TLAM and HSW missions incorporating all available existing, new and emergent technologies and capabilities to facilitate effective targeting in the most robust threat environments. You will develop and maintain the highest level of Tomahawk Planning System (TPS) and Hypersonic Weapons Planning System (HWPS) proficiency within the Department of Defense (DOD). You will provide technical expertise to support Program Management Activity (PMA) weapon system development efforts. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications BASIC EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study or at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following: computer science, mathematics, electronics, physical sciences, information management, engineering, telecommunications, or other fields related to the position. EXPERIENCE: In addition to the Basic Education Requirements, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Experience performing Tomahawk Land Attack Missile (TLAM) and Hypersonic Weapons (HSW) system mission planning, distribution and execution processes and procedures and weapon systems complimentary to TLAM and HSW to effectively develop hypotheses, theories, collaborate, integrate, adapt, influence and significantly impact the operational plans and strategic policy decisions supporting POTUS, SECDEF, and the supported Joint Task Force or Geographic Combatant Commanders. Experience applying knowledge of kinetic and non-kinetic threats to TLAM and HSW to apply, evaluate and address established and theoretical risk to current and projected operational areas of interest. Experience devising innovative solutions to monitor, track, report, and minimize risk or defeat. Experience applying quantitative and qualitative techniques and methodologies to analyze complex plans, strike rehearsals, and exercise scenarios, articulate observations and findings, and implement solutions to enhance overall mission/combat readiness. Experience identifying emergent or evolving operational requirements to evaluate and validate varied data sources,and coordinate the evaluation and selection of data management tools. This position requires Occasional Overtime, Evenings, Weekends, Shift Work, and Holiday shifts. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
