Naval Air Systems Command EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST in Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida

Summary You will serve as an Equipment Specialist in the FRCSE of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST. Responsibilities You will present technical information to management officials for use in decision making. You will advise management on policies and procedures for maintenance, planning, provisioning, and supplies of material handling equipment You will supply technical consultation and advise other technical support personnel and contractors on Configuration Management or technical logistics policies and procedures You will Serve as a general laboratory equipment and facilities manager, document control administrator and management specialist. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-7 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: Identifying and contacting vendors to determine applicable costs, availability and delivery schedule of needed equipment or services. Performing investigations on equipment status and making requests for repair, modification, preventive maintenance, calibration and disposal of all the Branch Laboratory equipment Checking for correct grammar and formatting of documents and then routing the documents generated by the Branch personnel. These documents include Local Process Specifications (LPSs), Local Engineering Specifications (LESs), Technical and Administrative Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and FRCSE Instructions Clarifying facilities requirements and developing the list of all work and material requests showing item, description, cost, and estimated completion date for management to approve Having technical knowledge of the systems used and preparing presentations and reports for management.
