Robert Half Desktop Support Analyst in Naugatuck, Connecticut
Description We are looking for a Desktop Support Analyst to join our team in NAUGATUCK, Connecticut. The Desktop Support Analyst will be instrumental in providing high-quality support for desktop computers, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices, as well as software applications. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Configuring computer systems in line with company policies.
• High-quality phone and desk side support for reported problems with desktop computers, laptops, peripherals, mobile devices, and software applications.
• Installing and configuring desktop computer hardware, software, and peripherals using standard procedures.
• Diagnosing technical problems and ensuring their resolution.
• Collaborating with vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Balancing customer expectations and business objectives.
• Maintaining and enhancing technical knowledge.
• Developing a positive working relationship with peers, management, and customers.
• Evaluating new product versions and recommending upgrade schedules.
• Ensuring company service standards are continually achieved in the area of responsibility.
• Maintaining inventory of all hardware/software.
• Testing hardware/software to ensure full functionality within the organization’s infrastructure.
• Timely and effective response and resolution to all service calls for repairs on all hardware/software.
• Developing procedural documentation for maintaining the operating system and desktop applications.
• Assisting in installing packaged software systems and applications on workstations, including installation of Client software and drivers.
• Assisting in ordering, receiving and recording software/hardware purchases.
• Participating in weekend and holiday on-call rotations. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years experience in a Desktop Support Analyst role or similar
• Proficiency in Android Development
• Knowledge and experience with Cisco Technologies
• Familiarity with Citrix Technologies
• Understanding of Computer Hardware and Dell Technologies
• Proficiency in Active Directory
• Experience with Apple Devices
• Knowledge of Backup Technologies
• Experience with Configuration Management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suites, MS Office 365, and Microsoft Outlook
• Knowledge of iOS, VM Horizon, and IGEL
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
