SBS Strategic Projects & Process Sr. Manager

This role will be part of the Global Services Strategy and Business Services organization in the Strategic Projects & Process Team. The Global Services Strategy and Business Services supports and orchestrates large transformational programs, delivers services and capabilities that support Global Services and the enterprise, and delivers digital innovation to drive value across J&J.

The Strategic Projects & Process Team is a newly formed team responsible for supporting a variety of activities such as projects, continuous improvement initiatives and short-term operational assignments. This role will provide exposure across different strategic projects, processes, and initiatives within J&J and the opportunity to experience and provide support to various teams and develop the next step in your career. We look forward to working with strong individuals who are agile in learning new processes and adaptable to varying business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Responsibilities for these roles can naturally be broad and will be specifically defined per project/initiative.

2. Be compliant with applicable laws and regulations, and follow guidelines in the J&J Credo

3. Maintain Operational Excellence

  • Lead and perform work-related duties as required to support Operating Company and Corporate, such as projects, continuous improvement activities and short-term operational assignments.

  • Projects could be from a wide range of sources including GS Scope Expansion, Cash Flow Generating initiatives, strategy and execution, AI/IA, or Service Management Transformation

  • Ensure accuracy and develop solutions to support evidence-based decision making.

  • View issues with a risk-based lens and develop appropriate mitigation plan.

  • Shape and execute process strategies which leverages emerging technology and digital capabilities.

4. Talent Management

  • Demonstrate influencing skills and credibility.

  • Onboard and train new peers, as required

  • Serve as a senior member of the team and continuously support and advise other team members

5. Be a Trusted Business Partner

  • Exhibit an unbiased and integrated approach towards business partnering.

  • Execute global Strategy & Solutions in line with taxonomy.

6. Create Game-Changing Innovation

  • Generate ideas, fosters, and implements continuous improvement mindset, identifying and pursuing process efficiency opportunities.

  • Execute process improvements, generating ideas and implementing in line with global standards.

Qualifications

Education

  • BA/BS in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Human Resources, Engineering, IT, Supply Chain or comparable by experience. An MBA is preferred.

Required

  • 8-10 years’ experience in strategy, continuous improvement, program management or related field, preferably in a global or multinational organization.

  • Strategic mindset and ability to work with ambiguity.

  • Successfully manage multiple priorities and be very organized

  • Be open to new ideas, rapid change and embracing new technologies.

  • Excellent project management skills, with experience managing complex projects from initiation to completion.

  • Strong leadership abilities with the capability to motivate and inspire team members

  • A proactive and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong critical thinking problem-solving skills.

  • Consistent track record of working cross-functionally.

  • Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a multifaceted environment.

Preferred

  • Ability to handle ambiguity and fluid situations, demonstrating a pragmatic approach.

  • Digital/ intelligent automation capabilities.

Other

  • This position may require 0-5% international travel.

  • Lead Regional/Global/Cross functional duties as assigned.

  • Fluent English, other language skills desirable.
