If you are a PAYROLL/ACCOUNTING professional looking for an opportunity to gain experience, Copeland/Alliance Compressors has an exciting opportunity for you! This role is an exciting opportunity to support the HVACR Americas business. Based in our NATCHITOCHES, LA location, you will work in the Finance department. You must be a self-motivative and innovative individual with great time management skills and can multi-task to support the facility by processing payroll and completing financial responsibilities. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for your success in this position.

AS A PAYROLL/ACCOUNTING CLERK, YOU WILL:

  • Process Payroll weekly using Kronos (Payroll Software) for 400+ employees weekly.

  • Input special pay such as Holiday Pay, Vacation, Jury Duty, Bereavement, etc.

  • Reconcile and balance payroll weekly per Audit requirements.

  • Resolve and/or Process and payroll inconsistencies, errors, or corrections.

  • Interact with team members, managers, and corporate payroll team.

  • Respond and/or resolve team member questions and issues.

  • Audit labor invoices and reconcile any discrepancies.

  • Process purchase request.

  • Research and reconcile specific accounts receivable.

  • Update and document payroll process changes as it occurs to ensure department efficiency.

  • Provide documentation for any payroll journal entries.

  • Perform some cost accounting and financial analysis.

  • Complete other duties as assigned by manager or support as needed to maintain payroll integrity and accuracy.

SCHEDULE:

The work schedule is 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday thru Friday. We offer a work life balance to our employees.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a high volume fast-paced environment.

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

  • Strong ability to learn and retain rules and processes.

  • Adaptable to changes in project requirement and conditions.

  • Self-motivated and self-sufficient.

  • Must be able to work in a team environment.

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor or Associate Degree in Business Administration or related discipline is preferred.

  • Kronos experience.

  • Oracle experience.

About Our Location

Alliance Compressors LLC develops, manufactures, and markets one through six-ton scroll compressors. Scroll compressors are used in commercial and residential air conditioning units. The current facility is over 365,000 square feet of manufacturing space and over 35,000 square feet of office space. This climate-controlled facility is the third-largest manufacturing business in the area, and offers its 600+ employees many opportunities for advancement.
