Generic Position Summary

As a member of the professional staff, contributes specialized knowledge and skill in the Sales & Marketing area to support team and/or department business objectives. Generally, works under the supervision, of the Marketing Team Leader and/or Supervisor to assist in the carrying out job tasks. Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally. Use marketing techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty to Marriott Vacations Worldwide (MVW). Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs; thank guests with genuine appreciation.

Specific Job Summary

Represent Harborside Resort at Atlantis at Harborside Resort as a Concierge and Vacation Services Coordinator. Meet and greet hotel guests and provide assistance and information to guests regarding the Atlantis and Harborside Resort. Invite guests for Harborside Resort at Atlantis Sales tour and Owner Updates for visiting owners, also to provide pre-arrival concierge service to all owners and renters of the resort prior to their arrival.

  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards and contributing to team, department and/or business results. May direct work of non-management staff.

  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.

  • Inspires confidence in Harborside at Atlantis and the Atlantis Resort through professional behavior and appearance.

  • Provide Guest Services at Vacation Services Locations

  • Discussing work topics, activities, or problems with coworkers, other supervisors, or managers discreetly and quietly, avoiding public areas of the property.

  • Demonstrating an awareness of personal strengths and areas for improvement and acts independently to improve and increase skills and knowledge.

  • Performs other duties as requested by management

Specific Expected Contributions

  • Developing and maintaining positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments.

  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.

  • Follow company and department safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe and secure environment

  • Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions and/or report them to management and security/safety personnel

  • Ensure uniform, name tags, and personal appearance are clean, hygienic, professional and in compliance with company policies

  • Engage guest in conversation regarding their stay, property services and area attractions/offerings

  • Assertively prospects guest of the resort determining eligibility for the sales presentation and inviting current owners in for an update as it relates to their ownership with MVW

  • Determine guest eligibility for sales tour

  • Procure and deliver the most qualified guest to tour the resort

  • Consistently meets daily/weekly production quota

  • Completes required documentation to business standards

  • Consistently meets deadlines as it relates to company’ policies and procedures.

Generally a professional position with specific knowledge in diversity relations, problem-solving, decision-making and customer services. Candidate should also have the ability to contribute to building a positive team spirit, and effectively communicate. Relevant experience typically required.

Specific Candidate Profile

Education

  • High School Diploma/GED equivalent

Experience

  • At least one (1) year of related work experience

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

  • Strong problem solving, communication and presentation skills. The ideal candidate is organized and confident to work independently and is a strong team player.

  • Ability to be culturally sensitive and to collaborate effectively with coworkers and guests from different countries and cultures.

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.

  • Displays the necessary professional integrity and discretion for dealing with sensitive guest data.

  • Basic level of ability with MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required

  • Pays attention to detail

  • The ability to stand frequently

  • Can manage difficult or emotional customer situations

  • English Language proficiency
