The City of Nashwauk is seeking candidates for a full-time Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for its BLS Service. Eligible candidates will have current Minnesota State Certified EMT license as well as be Nationally Registered (NREMT), have a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and a valid driver s license with no major infractions. Candidates must also have a strong work ethic and self-motivated personality. EMTs are expected to respond to 911 calls, take transfers between facilities, attend training, maintain their licensing, maintain equipment and other regular duties. A thorough background check and drug test will be conducted upon a job being offered. Starting pay for the position is $17.00/hr according to union contract. Employees will have PTO after one year of continuous service, paid holidays, PERA, consistent scheduling and 1 paid continuing ed conference per year.
