We have a great team of Technical Alliances Consultants with vast backgrounds across Public Clouds, Oracle applications, Database and Infrastructure solutions. We pitch in to help each other and leverage the best ideas to make partners successful.

Overall Responsibilities

You are responsible for helping them drive the overall success of cloud partners in the North American territory.

Partner Activities

  • Be the technical point of contact and subject-matter-expert for all OCI service offerings, including IaaS and PaaS

  • Educate partners on the vast area of development resources available to them like OCI demo environments, Product webcasts, Reference Architectures and OCI Certifications.

  • Work closely with your channel counterparts to identify, recruit and onboard new OCI partners into the Oracle Partner Network (OPN) Program. Setting up a roadmap for them to achieve Workload Expertise.

  • Contribute to broad base enablement activities that increase overall partner capabilities for OCI.

  • Collaborate with your peers on best practices, key resources and ways to help partners succeed.

Presales Activities

  • Align with your Partner Development Manager business partner to identify partner opportunities you will help progress to closure

  • Provide pre-sales technical support to partners in design questions, feature clarification and customer meetings. You may not know the answer on the spot, but you can help them find it.

  • Work with the competitive team to understand OCI technical and business differentiators; advocate these differentiators to customers, partners and field teams

  • Help track and document partner projects as you move them to technical closure (assess, design, security review, etc)

Postsales Activities

  • Ensure customer applications run successfully by working closely with the extended Oracle technical teams: Solution Architects, Product Management, Oracle Support and Field Teams (Cloud Data Platform and IaaS reps)

  • Assist in customer support escalations, reviewing SR documentation with partners and helping resolve customer production issues as needed.

  • Identify new customer wins and collaborate with partners on their implementation plans while addressing any challenges.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 2+ years of IT Database or Modern Application Development expertise

  • 2+ years of working in a technical field sales role

  • Experience with Iaas and Paas including Database, Machine Learning, Compute, Networking, Storage, Security, and associated management/ monitoring tools.

  • Experience managing partner relationships, offering strategic IT advice, and keeping customers happy

  • Dynamic communicator with the ability to break down technical concepts into everyday language

  • Ability to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast paced environment

Preferred

  • Technical Bachelors degree (computer science or related)

  • AWS/Azure/GCP/ OCI cloud certification or experience

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $110,000 to $207,400 per annum. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 70/30 - 80/20.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
