Amazon Supply Chain Mgr II, Global Carrier Management in Nashville, Tennessee

Description

Amazon is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to own 3PL and carrier performance management for external warehousing and the transportation of IT assets across various programs. This role will require collaboration with business teams across the company and around the world to develop and implement supply chain solutions for new products/programs and existing operations. The primary function of this role is to define and deliver global solutions that enhance the speed and scalability of OpsTech Solutions and support our global operations partners.

Key job responsibilities

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and carriers to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

• Collaborate with finance teams to successfully plan and manage transportation and warehousing projected spending.

• Engage in daily communication with transportation providers and internal inventory stakeholders within Amazon.

• Partner with GTL regional logistics teams in the transportation of Amazon IT assets.

• Monitor and track carrier and 3PL performance to promptly resolve any issues that arise.

• Provide proactive reporting to customers and key stakeholders.

• Develop comprehensive transportation plans for new projects as they emerge.

• Drive global standardization of fulfillment practices, business processes, and reporting by working with operations, finance, engineering, and supply chain stakeholders.

• Form and lead cross-functional project teams to plan, organize, manage, and execute complex projects across multiple organizations and stakeholders.

• Innovate for significant improvements in quality, cost, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Collaborate with key operational experts across the company to lead, support, and influence new business initiatives.

• Participate in weekly, monthly and quarterly business reviews and vendor score-carding to ensure alignment with cost and business objectives.

• Strengthen partnerships with current transportation providers and identify potential new providers.

• Prepare and present detailed, data-driven business reviews to senior management.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

  • 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

  • 2+ years of supply chain experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
