The Sr. Marketing Manager, On-Road Staffing (ORS) Marketing is an omni-purpose role that is cross-functionally strategic, analytical, and influential. The scope of impact spans globally across multiple geographies, requiring a thoughtful leader with the ability to exude tenacity. The role serves as the tactical and strategic partner to the ORS team, in terms marketing, creating conceptual designs, branded content for on and off-site marketing, and the overall experience for DSPs and their delivery associates.

The scope of this role includes the ability to lead, innovate, and improve our global productivity, planning, and investment allocations within ORS Marketing through product and tech road mapping and ownership. This is a highly visible role that requires interaction and partnership with senior leaders across global teams to identify efficiency gains, best practices, automating the constant measurement of productivity, and deliver a globally scalable experience. This role requires a leader with solid analytical abilities, marketing processes skills, sound business acumen, product ownership, and exceptional written and oral communication skills.

The successful candidate will be data-driven and have a strong understanding of marketing KPIs. They will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, and an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. They will need to track records of operational efficiencies, as well as, capabilities with budgeting systems, headcount tracking, and data visualization. Owning team metrics and delivering regular reports on progress to leaders, impacting goals that are high in impact and ambiguity, demanding strategic planning, and inputs from large customer segments, such as, (Finance, 3P, Legal, PPT, HR, DSP and ORS) requiring tradeoff decision making for resources, impacting team roadmaps.

This person will be required to display a proactive approach in identifying effective creative strategies to enhance the customer experience keeping a close eye on industry trends. This person will have a genuine passion for experimenting with different creative treatments to improve customer engagement and possess excellent communication and presentation skills, enabling themselves to bring concepts to life for all stakeholders and gaining buy-in, and adoption.

Key job responsibilities

  • Work at a strategic level to champion bold and creative ideas, and at a tactical level to ensure execution excellence of plans, that are designed to deliver scalable, efficient solutions based on global frameworks.

  • Identify strategies to improve the cost-effectiveness of the marketing efforts, without compromising the quality of the leads.

  • The ideal candidate for this position should possess a strong background in creative work. They should have previous experience in working in a global organization, be comfortable with influencing and collaborating with diverse senior stakeholders such as product designers, photo studios, and agencies to move towards an aligned vision.

  • Earn trust from internal and external partners, and balance competing priorities in a rapidly changing environment.

  • Derive critical insights by analyzing data, identifying opportunities for improvements, gathering requirements, and prioritizing requests.

  • Have a rigorous approach to problem solving and analytics, as well as produce, interpret, and draw conclusions from data.

  • Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, as well as balance business needs versus constraints.

  • Gain and maintain awareness of labor markets and their impact on Amazon’s hourly staffing needs.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  • 7+ years of developing and managing acquisition marketing or channel programs experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs

  • Experience developing and executing campaigns across a multitude of timezones and languages

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners

  • Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
