Amazon Inbound Transporationat (AIT) BizOps is seeking a strategic leader to drive profitability and growth of inbound transportation (IB) programs (WePay, PCP and Imports) in Canada. As the leader for IB Transportation programs in Canada, you will be responsible for the CA IB transportation programs PNL and define the roadmap and prioritization of core initiatives that will allow you to accomplish your business goals. Among those, you will define pricing mechanisms, support vendor negotiations, support growth initiatives and execute cost reduction strategies across WePay, PCP, and Imports. Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and supply chain expertise are critical for driving program attainment, cost efficiency, and overall transportation operations success in Canada.

Key job responsibilities

  • Strategic leadership of inbound transportation programs (WePay, PCP, and Imports) in Canada for profitability and growth.

  • Develop and execute the roadmap, prioritize initiatives, and define pricing mechanisms to achieve business goals.

  • Responsible for the profitability and loss (P&L) of Canada inbound transportation programs, including cost reduction strategies.

  • Support vendor negotiations, manage vendor relationships, and drive growth initiatives for transportation programs.

  • Ensure cost-efficient and streamlined transportation operations in Canada, continuously improving processes and procedures.

  • Leverage strong analytical skills for program performance evaluation, opportunity identification, and data-driven decision-making.

  • Effective stakeholder management, collaborating with cross-functional teams and aligning expectations with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Apply deep supply chain expertise and strategic planning to optimize transportation operations, achieve targets, and drive operational excellence.

About the team

Amazon Inbound Transportation (AIT) is responsible for optimizing cost-effective flow throughout Amazon’s inbound network while providing Amazon with greater control, performance, and inbound visibility. The Business Operations (BizOps) team within AIT is responsible for pricing, cost, growth, speed, and profitability of the inbound business. Our customer is the shipper who utilizes AIT programs (vendors and sellers). Our objective is to execute on time, save shippers money, and offer distinctive features and services to all shippers regardless of size.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field

  • 5+ years of owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • 2+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

  • Knowledge of SQL at an intermediate level, including: compile queries, subqueries, aggregation/grouping, data modification, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, or Master's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field

  • 7+ years of owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • Experience in supply chain

  • Understanding of the Canadian transportation and logistics landscape

  • Experience in implementing operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Expertise in developing and executing strategic roadmaps, pricing mechanisms, and cost reduction strategies for transportation operations

  • Executive level communication skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $103,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
