Position Summary

We’re currently looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our team in Bridgestone Internal Audit.

This role will be responsible for performing and delivering a portfolio of risk-focused analytics encompassing the analysis of large data sets, the creation of descriptive and predictive analytics, the development of dashboards, and the successful development and implementation of audit automation solutions. The Senior Data Analyst will also be responsible for collaborating with the Internal Audit Data Analytics Manager, peers, and business partners to thoroughly understand analytics requirements, provide thought leadership on audit analytics, and execute on the design and development of complex analytical models and solutions. The Senior Data Analyst will also help shape how Internal Audit leverages artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and deliver analytics-as-a-service for internal audit projects by understanding enterprise data, data sources, business processes, and business needs.

  • Demonstrate thought leadership to solve and provide digital solutions to address key business challenges. Collaborate with audit leadership, stakeholders, and peers to develop thorough understanding of analytical requirements and communicate work progress and results.

  • Support the Internal Audit Data Analytics Manager to design and implement digital solutions with high impact by focusing on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the audit process, identifying novel risk-focused insights, and optimizing the end-user experience of dashboards and other analytical solutions.

  • Support and lead the design and development of analytic and automation solutions to query, mine, and analyze large data sets leveraging data analytical tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, Python, etc.)

  • Participate in special projects and project teams established to achieve department level goals and objectives.

  • Support, maintain, and enhance Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting to internal audit leadership and the audit committee.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a master’s degree; or equivalent work experience

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant area (e.g., Accounting, Analytics, Business, Finance, Information Technology, MIS)

  • Experience in digital/data technologies, internal audit, investigations, internal controls, information technology, data analytics, or risk management fields

  • Technical expertise and previous hands-on experience with any of the following software tools: Data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Tableau server, Power BI, etc.); Data query/analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Alteryx, Alteryx server etc.); Programming and predictive tools (e.g., Python, R, etc.)

  • Ability to work with large data sets from multiple data sources in de-centralized data environments. Strong self-initiative, comfortable working with ambiguity and limited managerial involvement.

  • Preferably, experience with AWS and SAP (ECC and S/4 HANA) and business fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese.
