Job Summary and Qualifications

Position Summary

The primary purpose of the position is to provide technical expertise for developing new and existing software products within the FHIR Service API program at HCA. The FHIR Services are a set of RESTful microservices for serving healthcare data, such as Patients, Encounters and Locations. These services allow other HCA development teams to access data in a consistent, and shared, manner, reducing cost and increasing delivery speed of newly-developed solutions.

This position requires a candidate who can analyze business requirements, perform design tasks, construct, test, and implement solutions with little supervision in a Lean/Agile Development environment. The candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter and must be committed to delivering high-quality solutions within agreed-upon timelines.

• Performing development using HCA standards and procedures, maintaining code and version control through Github.

• Manage projects thru inception, elaboration, development, testing, and implementation with the help of other assigned resources. Using various tools: .NET, C#, Javascript/JQuery/JSON, Couchbase, HTML5, REST, Domain Driven Design, MS SQL 2019

• Completing Unit Testing and participating in Peer/Code Reviews of other developers work

• Providing advanced troubleshooting user support working with end users at all levels of the organization

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred

• 5+ years of experience in Information Technology required

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Behaviors:

A successful candidate will have:

• Familiarity with Lean/Agile techniques in a development environment

• Three or more of these areas are required (all are preferred)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS

• Prolonged sitting or standing at computer workstation including use of mouse, keyboard, and monitor.

• Requires ability to provide after-hours support.
