Job Summary and Qualifications
The Product Analyst II reports to the Manager, 3M HIM Technologies – Operations Team. Provides product support for Regulatory Products and 3M HIS products, including the 3M Web Coding and Reimbursement System (3M CRS), the 3M 360 Encompass System, and the 3M Audit Expert/Health Record Management Software (AEHRM). The candidate understands the application of various regulatory products, including grouper files and code dictionaries, and how they contribute to and interact with other enterprise applications. Performs application validations, as needed, for Regulatory updates and projects involving 3M HIS products, or for other related products that will interface with these applications. The position provides IT expertise and clinical knowledge in analyzing and collaborating on IT and business opportunities to deploy timely quarterly regulatory releases and implement industry regulatory changes. Responsible for providing after-hours support of alerting, monitoring interface, and supporting offshore coding team. Monitors vendor performance, reviews vendor issue management for responsiveness and accuracy of resolution, and reports service level performance to vendor and HCA Healthcare leadership.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Support
With knowledge of Health Information Systems and health informatics, this position supports compliant, integrated coding, abstracting, and billing, and related systems. Works with vendors on current and future releases. Attends prerelease and release meetings for regulatory software updates. Performs application testing for upgrades, fixes, and changes. Acts as third level support for CRS, 360 Encompass, and AEHRM issues reported to Client Support Services. Participates in validation testing post any regulatory software update. Participates in team evaluations to recommend changes to regulatory applications and products. Assists team with incident management and working support incidents, as assigned, through resolution. This includes communicating with end users, business partners and service desk analysts throughout the issue life cycle. Responsible for defect management and follows department policy and procedure. Assists with reviewing and processing eSAF (Electronic Security Access Forms) for user access requests.
Communication/Documentation
Responsible for communicating via multiple media, including but not limited to WebEx conference calls, in person participation and via written documentation across audiences with varying levels of technical expertise
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at various levels within and outside the organization

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a team
Experience with change management policy and procedures
Experience working with diverse and complex projects
ICD-10-CM/PCS and HCPCS/CPT coding experience or IT support of encoder products
Knowledge of HL7 Interfaces
Demonstrated experience in establishing and strengthening relationships
Detail oriented and analytical with organization skills
Meets or exceeds project deadlines
Ability to prioritize multiple activities and tasks simultaneously and adapt to rapidly changing environment
Strong problem and issue resolution skills
Highly motivated and able to work independently with little supervision
Flexible and adaptable to meet changing priorities
Experience supporting and troubleshooting HL7 interfaces (including ADT, BAR, DFT, MDM, ORU) preferred
Experience with business requirement writing preferred
What qualifications you will need:
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience - Required
EXPERIENCE
3 or more years of experience in specifically related responsibilities - Required
3 or more years of experience in coding experience or IT support of coding products - Preferred
Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Registered Health Information Administrator - RHIA Preferred
