Amazon Marketing Production Manager, Operations Internal Communications in Nashville, Tennessee

The Global Operations Internal Communications team is looking for an Internal Communications Marketing Production Manager to own the project management, quality assurance, production, and publishing of digital communications and campaigns for Operations employee-facing communications across owned and earned channels. This role requires knowledge of multi-channel content publishing and production, strong project management skills, robust knowledge of quality assurance (QA) processes, and an ability to use data to inform communication strategy. The role will collaborate with many functional teams in Operations Internal Communications including Global campaign and business teams, communicators in the Operations network, and internal content production teams.

This candidate is curious, tenacious, detail-oriented, and passionate about getting the information to the right audience at the right time. The role will require good judgment, the ability to think and communicate clearly, solid copywriting skills, and previous experience with publishing content to large audiences on digital and social media platforms during short time frames.

Key job responsibilities

  • Management and expansion of team quality assurance (QA) processes

  • Ownership of the daily production calendar, assignments, and editorial meeting in the Americas

  • Project management of complex multi-national communication campaigns in multiple languages.

  • Pre-production and publishing of communications and materials on a variety of internal and external tools according to editorial calendar and cadence

  • Contribute feedback and ideas for improvement for existing production flows for marketing, transactional, and ad-hoc campaigns, and communications

  • Manage list segmentation and assets for select business verticals as part of digital and email campaigns

  • Partner with global communication managers, content producers, designers, program managers, and business leaders to align on goals and make iterative improvements

  • Conduct ongoing analysis of digital communications and report on campaign performance to ensure KPIs are being met

About the team

The Operations Internal Communications (OIC) Content and Channels team manages the global distribution of information to Operations associates around the world including major announcements, weekly and evergreen communications through easy-to-access channels available on many devices, locations and formats. Additionally, we partner with Operations, HR, Product and Tech teams to develop tools and resources that inform and engage Operations employees, regardless of tenure or location. Finally, we serve as an operational hub for many of the OIC team’s processes including communication tool use, governance, and permissions; audience segmentation; and reporting.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of developing and managing acquisition marketing or channel programs experience

  • 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs

  • Experience developing and executing campaigns across a multitude of timezones and languages

  • Experience executing scaled marketing campaigns through email or social media

  • Experience with localization and multilingual communications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners

  • Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint

  • 3+ years of experience using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript or other relevant coding languages across email and web

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
