Job Summary and Qualifications

Serve as the functional manager for a team of Business Solution Analysts. Manage the activities of this staff as they facilitate the definition of business needs and requirements for a transformed business, and provide guidance as the analysts drive solution identification. Oversee analysis activities for multiple projects within Core Clinical line of business that are projected to deliver significant business value, require ITG infrastructure changes, and present significant technical or operational risk. Ensure that analysis efforts lead to solutions that meet or exceed business goals and objectives. Provide leadership in the execution of business analysis practices for multiple projects/initiatives within the enterprise. Support the organizational agenda, champion process improvements, build and expand relationships with key stakeholders. Focus on staff development, building and managing relationships with key stakeholders, and planning and allocating resources to meet area goals. Responsible for personnel management of the staff and ensure that performance management and career development activities are completed for the area. Handle all aspects of human resource management within their staff. Actively communicate resource constraints and continually balances resource supply to meet current demand. Recruits, as needed, and allocates resources to meet area goals and HCA Healthcare priorities.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Assign Business Solutions Analysts to projects and groups of projects. Works within their project team to level, plan, and schedule resources, and also works with other ITG management to plan and level their resources in a way that supports adequate staffing and scheduling of the projects in their area. Employ techniques to recruit high-caliber analysts, to meet project and organizational needs. Support the organizational agenda, contribute to process improvements, build and expand relationships with key stakeholders. Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, planning and allocating resources to meet area goals. Ensure that project and product interdependencies across products and projects are considered and are tracked as projects are planned and executed

Identify opportunities for coaching/mentoring Business Solutions Analysts in the execution of their responsibilities with the aim of establishing them as leaders of their teams working toward a common goal. Works with the staff to set personal goals and project goals, and to review and evaluate their actual performance, including all aspects of human resource management within their team. Conduct comprehensive documentation and project reviews. Communicate appropriate status and outcomes with ITG Management, Project Managers, and Business Owners to provide timely and accurate information and status updates, along with issue and risk management. Serve as escalation point for project engagements, maintaining accountability resolution of escalated issues with other ITG areas and with HCA Healthcare business units, related to their line of projects.

What qualifications you will need:

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree - Preferred

RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE

7 or more years

MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE

1 or more years

OTHER / SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of healthcare delivery is a plus

  • Experience working in healthcare IT is a plus

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with peers and superiors, to speak in front of groups, and to communicate using presentations, and other written material.

  • Ability to operate and communicate effectively while under pressure.

  • Experience serving as a liaison between groups within an organization, as an effective member of teams.

  • Skilled in problem solving, interpersonal relationships in the workplace and conflict resolution.

  • Ability to understand the Enterprise objectives as well as the underlying issues in complex situations.

  • Proven leadership ability with strong development and business analysis process experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS

Some travel required but generally less than 10%.

Typical work week hours can vary depending on workload, outages or project deliverables
