Job Title: Lead Electrician
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide daily leadership in safe working practices, execute electrical wiring plans using blueprints, install electrical systems, and ensure compatibility of components. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing damaged units and maintaining a high standard of electrical work.
Responsibilities
Communicate with management team throughout the project.
Provide daily leadership in safe working practices across the field team.
Use blueprints to execute plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning lighting, intercom, and other electrical systems.
Install electrical apparatus, fixtures, safety and distribution components, and fire alarm systems.
Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components.
Bend and install conduit and pull wire throughout.
Troubleshoot, inspect, install, and replace old wiring and insulated cables, and clean circuits.
Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units.
Essential Skills
At least 5 years of commercial electrical experience.
Ability to read blueprints and layout work for the team.
Experience installing lighting, controls, and devices.
Supervisory skills and experience leading a team of up to 10 electricians and apprentices.
Work Environment
Work on new construction projects in the greater Nashville area, including projects at Vanderbilt, schools, and a mixed-use high rises. The role involves working Monday through Friday, starting between 6:00 am and 7:00 am, with 8-hour shifts. Must be open to overtime during the week as well as Saturday work.
