Job Summary:

In your pivotal role as Education Coordinator, you will be responsible for all aspects of the clinical education portion of the program and will often assist with various instructional aspects of the classroom learning. You will oversee clinical experiences for students and support the Program Director with curricular implementation, competency evaluations, program development and ensuring high quality learning experiences for students.

VUMC has aligned with Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College of Education and Human Development to offer a 30 credit, capstone-based master's that begins in the summer and is completed in 4 semesters. Students will complete graduate courses online and on campus while completing their 1200 hours of supervised practice training with the Dietetic Internship. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Organization, coordination, and evaluation of the clinical education experience

• Communicates with existing clinical sites to ensure high quality clinical experiences, and regularly seeks opportunities for growth and development in new clinical experiences

• Assists in the planning and implementation for classroom instruction as needed

• Monitors student performance and competency completion of clinical and education experiences

• Supports Program Director and Program Faculty towards achieving program goals

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree

  • 3 years relevant experience

  • Licensed Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) in the state of Tennessee
