LOCATION: Remote U.S.

OVERVIEW

We are searching for a visionary Director, Clinical Learning - Nursing to lead our content strategy with a focus on engaging, evidence-based practice learning content for nurses in today’s work and learning environment. You will be responsible for the development of learning content for the practicing nurse by ensuring clinical accuracy and relevancy with an emphasis on content that engages the learner, delivers on what is relevant, as well as engaging and adapting to the needs of modern healthcare environments.

You will understand nursing practice, have a passion for innovation, and channel the ability to lead change in how educational content is created, delivered, and consumed. You will support a culture in customer engagement from strategy through execution and usage of our content through interactions with our customers. You will be an opinion leader for Lippincott Solutions in the wider market to share our point of view and expertise in learning for healthcare institutions.

This role will have supervisory responsibilities over four Content Editors and will report to the Director, Product Management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your role is to develop and implement our strategy for engaging, innovative learning content.

  • Content Strategy: Develop and implement a forward-thinking editorial strategy focused on transforming traditional nursing learning content into dynamic, interactive digital resources.

  • Innovation Leadership: Lead initiatives to integrate new technologies such as mobile learning, into educational content, enhancing the learning experience for nurses in practice. Explore vendors and evaluate vendor capabilities to help us achieve our innovation goals.

  • Team Leadership: Manage and inspire a team of Clinical Editors fostering a culture of creativity and innovation and clinical accuracy and evidence-based practice.

  • Content Evolution: Oversee the redesign and repurposing of existing educational materials to align with modern learning preferences and technologies, and lead content development and delivery to ensure that content is interactive, modular, and easily accessible across platforms.

  • Collaboration: Partner with internal partners in functional areas including Product Management, Clinical Director of Point of Care content, Clinical Sales Executive and external contacts such as instructional designers, healthcare professionals, and technology experts to create content that is both clinically accurate and optimized for digital consumption.

  • Project Management: Oversee the content transformation pipeline, managing timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of trends in Nursing, including healthcare education, bringing fresh ideas and best practices, sharing your insights and thoughts with large groups of both internal partners and external opinion leaders.

QUALIFICACTIONS

Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing or a related field.

Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in Nursing Leadership and education roles with an emphasis on digital content and e-learning.

  • Experience in clinical practice or nursing education is highly preferred.

  • Knowledge of hospital-based nursing practice and the challenges of healthcare education.

  • Leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire creativity.

  • Project management skills, with a record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

  • Presenting to customers and to large groups of healthcare professionals

  • Understanding of digital content creation, including experience with interactive and multimedia content formats.

TRAVEL: 10% business related for team meetings and to attend conferences.

Compensation:

Target salary range CA, CT, CO, HI, NY, WA: $132,500-$187,550
